FAQ’s:
1. Is this retreat available to all levels?
The creative retreat with Liza Collaros and guest artist Ira, is open to
all levels. Whether you’re a professional artist or a complete beginner,
every individual participant will thrive and enjoy this unique.
2. When is the retreat available?The retreat takes place between April 22-29/04/2024
3.Please make your travel arrangements to arrive before 4p.m.
Check-out is after breakfast on the last day.
4. Is Wi-Fi available?Yes, Wi-Fi is available in designated areas.
5. I am vegetarian/vegan. Can I book this retreat?
Vegetarian, vegan, or pescatarian diets are catered for exclusively.
Please get in touch in advance to discuss
your dietary requirements for
the breakfast every morning.
6. How do I get to the retreat venue?
The retreat venue is located on the Island of Zakynthos. Ten minutes
away from Zakynthos’s Airport (ZTH).
Roundtrip airport transfers from/to
Athens Airport (ATH) with either Sky Express Airlines or Aegean
Airlines/Olympic Air.
Please hold off from booking flights until the
retreat becomes guaranteed and spot confirmed.
7. What should I pack?
Please pack appropriate clothing, sunscreen, swimsuit, insect repellent,
soothing cream for insect bites,
a cardigan for chilly evenings,
comfortable shoes, a sun hat and sunglasses, personal care items,
and any personal medication you might need.
8. What art supplies do I need for the workshop?
A detailed list of art materials recommended by Liza Collaros will be
provided upon booking.
9. What’s the weather like in Zakynthos May?
The weather in is sunny and pleasant. You can expect average highs of
25°C / 86°F during the day that drop to around 14°C / 65°F at night.
Rain is also a possibility during these months.
10. Is there a local currency I should acquire before arriving?
Please take out euros cash from an ATM at the airport in Athens. You
will need cash for small purchases in the resort you visit and for
tipping staff (tipping is customary). There are cash points at several
points in Laganas Resort.
11. How many people are to be expected on the retreat?
Maximum 14 participants. If there is less than 3 people booking, your deposit or full payment will be refunded & the trip will be cancelled.
12. Do I need a visa?
Guests traveling from the US, Canada, UK, EU, and/or Schengen member
states may enter Greece for tourist purposes without a visa. Please
contact us for further guidance.
13. What language is used during the art retreat and other activities?
The retreat is available in English.
14. Is the retreat available to guests with limited mobility?
Unfortunately, the retreat venue is not well suited to host people with
limited mobility. But please contact me to further discuss various
options.
15. Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, a registration fee of 250€ is required to reserve your spot on the creative
retreat.
16. Will I receive a full refund if the guaranteed retreat is cancelled
by the artist?
If the retreat is cancelled due to COVID-19, other force majeure events,
or circumstances out of the artist’s control, I will let you know as
soon as possible, refund the total cost of the retreat.
17. What happens if the retreat takes place, but I cannot attend due to
COVID-19?
If the retreat takes place, but you cannot attend due to Covid-related
circumstances, please refer to cancellation policy. We highly recommend
purchasing travel insurance, to protect you from unexpected
circumstances.
Cancellation requests submitted within 20 days of retreat date, 50% of
total will be refunded amount (less registration fee). Within 14 days of
your retreat, unfortunately no refunds given, no exceptions.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
PLEASE NOTE: If there is less than 3 people booking, your deposit or full payment will be refunded & the trip will be cancelled.
1. Please note that because Liza Collaros Creative Retreats are limited
to a small number of attendees, with a personal experience, our
cancellation policy is in place to help guests and our team plan
together to share expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.
2. The €250 registration/deposit fee is NON-REFUNDABLE should you
cancel. However, for attending guests, the registration/deposit fee will
be decreased from the balance of the price.
3. Full balance due 15 DAYS before start date of retreat unless
otherwise noted.
4. All individual cancellations must be made in writing by email. €250
deposit is non-refundable.
5. If you cancel more than 20 days in advance, 50% payment will be
refunded minus deposit.
6. If you cancel more than 14 days in advance, 25% payment will be
refunded minus deposit.
7. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the retreat start date,
unfortunately no refunds given, no exceptions.
8. Any refunds allowed will incur a 3% processing fee.
9. No one books a retreat with the intention of cancelling it, but
unexpected events do occur, so please consider purchasing travel
insurance and that it is your responsibility to read and understand our
cancellation policies. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason,
including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds
or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or
for arriving late or leaving early.
10. I recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance. I encourage
you to purchase trip cancellation insurance in order that your trip fees
will be covered should you or your family have a medical problem prior
to your trip or while on the trip. Trip insurance should also be
purchased to cover medical expenses in the event you have an accident
while on the retreat. Most travel insurance must be purchased within 14
days of making your reservation.
11. I reserve the right to cancel retreats with inadequate participant
interest, in which case all money paid to “come paint the med with me”.
12. Notification of cancellation, for this reason, will occur at least 3
weeks prior to the retreat start date.
13. “come paint the med with me” cannot be held responsible for any
personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries
or retreat cancellations.
14. COVID TRAVEL UPDATE: Please note that if the retreat must be
postponed due to events such as COVID then a credit for a guests’ hold
deposit will be issued to be used for the postponement date. If the
retreat happens as scheduled, but a guest decides not to attend based on
personal health decisions, then the regular cancellation policy (stated
above) will be maintained.
15. All attendees will agree to adhere to any covid regulations in place
of the location where the retreat is held. All travel mandatory
requirements such as vaccinations, boosters, and tests will be followed
as required by law, and while on
retreat, guests agree to any local regulations in place such as masks,
‘green passes’, and the like.
16. DISCLAIMER: Liza Collaros Creative Retreats and all persons involved
in retreats (hereinafter referred to as “AGENTS”) act only in the
capacity as AGENTS for the participant in all matters connected with
travel, sight-seeing journeys, and transportation, and as AGENTS hold
themselves free of responsibility for any damage occasioned by any
cause.
17. AGENTS will not be responsible for any damages or expenses, or
inconveniences caused by late departures or change of schedule, strikes,
or their conditions, nor will be responsible for loss or damage to
baggage or any of the participant’s belongings.
18. All prices quoted are correct at the time of posting.
19. AGENTS shall not be responsible for personal injury, death,
accident, delay, loss, damage, irregularity or property damage as a
result of force majeure or for any other losses or damages incurred by
any person or journey participants caused by any delay or change of
itinerary or arising out of any act, including, but not limited to, any
act of negligence, any person acting for or on behalf of AGENTS for
transportation, accommodation or sight-seeing provider or any other
person or entity rendering any of these services or accommodations being
offered in connection with this journey.
20. This agreement supersedes all previous oral or written
communications, representations, or agreements between the parties.
21. Participants assume the risk involved when participating in
activities, foreign travel, and any and all activities and/or pursuits
voluntarily undertaken while participating in the retreat.
22. Participants agree that any and all disputes between Participants
and Liza Collaros Creative Retreats shall be governed by law.
Participants agree to mediate any and all disputes prior to the
institution of any litigation. In the event of any litigation between
the Parties to this agreement involving their respective rights or
obligations, such litigation shall take place remotely and the
prevailing party shall be entitled to recovery of reasonable attorney’s
fees and court costs of litigation.
23. In regard to the stay during the retreat, AGENTS will provide safe,
careful instruction and safe premises, but ask that each participant to
take personal responsibility for their own self-care and (in the
unlikely case) for any injuries incurred during retreat. If participants
are unsure of their physical ability due to previous injuries, they
should seek the advice of a healthcare practitioner beforehand.
24. By participating in a retreat, guests acknowledge and agree to
images and photos of their being and likeness being taken by Liza
Collaros Creative Retreats and other participants and that such images
may be shared at will online and publicly.
The retreat is led by me, Liza, an artist who too is exploring and
always learning new and different, exciting elements of art.
Together we will explore a world of art and creativity through a series
of different painting styles, from impressionism to abstract
expressionism with hands-on art practice and guidance. We’ll expand your
toolbox and let your soul free on the canvas!
